As covid-19 is now present in the world, we have to now be very cautious in regards to training at BKA. The gym has social distancing measures in place, hand sanitiser’s and a card machine to try and handle less cash where possible.
Class timetable may change but only temporarily until we are back to ‘normal’. Our classes will be at a limited number and you will have to book via an online booking system. Please send a message to get hold of the link. With the classes being at a limited capacity we may have to cancel some bookings but this will be done fairly.
We advise everyone to use their own kit and, it’s ideal to train with a family member due to pad work where possible. You may even bring a family member just to hold the pads but you will have to stay in your allocated area.
Between all classes the gym will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised for the next class.
Parents or family members will no longer be able to wait within the gym.
There will be an in and out system in place at the gym.
We advise to only use your own gloves/kit, the bag of gloves that we have at the gym are going to be put away temporarily for the time being.
If you have any of the following symptoms
▪️shortness of breath
Then it is advised you stay at home and get the correct medical attention.
stay at home and avoid close contact with other people
do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital
use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do next
PLEASE NOTE THESE SYMPTOMS DO NOT NECESSARILY MEAN YOU HAVE CORONAVIRUS BUT THEY ARE WHAT YOU SHOULD KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR.
wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
always wash your hands when you get home or into work
use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
Please, please, please, if you have any of the symptoms, please stay at home. We have people of all ages enter the gym, wether they are sat by watching or training themselves. We are just taking extra safety measures to keep us all healthy.
